Sproutin’ Up works to improve the lives of children and teens living in under-resourced neighborhoods in Fort Collins.
Build hope, optimism, and skills to take youth to their full potential.
WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO
Nearly 43,000 Larimer County residents are food insecure.
More than 60% of teens want and need jobs, but they also need the skills to be successful in their first job.
HOW WE DO WHAT WE DO
At Sproutin’ Up we work in three pathways simultaneously which helps kids reach their full potential. At the beginning of the program, we start with a Kick-Off Retreat where kids discover their unique strengths, build social capital, and set basic goals.
What We've Achieved
Donated over 20,000 pounds of produce to families in need.
Helped secure jobs for teens who have completed our program.
Educated over 100 youth in healthy living and gardening skills.
Provided nearly 300 families with local, healthy produce.
Connected teens with local business owners to help them build their network.
Taught teens to write resumes, conduct mock interviews, and develop social skills to be successful in job settings.
Worked with over 100 volunteers to make a tangible difference in our community.
